On New Year’s Eve, December 31, 2023, we were honored with a surprise visit by Robert Amihere along with his wife and children. Brother Amihere first met with the Generals when he was a high school student under the auspices of Major John Williams of Ghana. Now Robert is in his mid thirties and still aware of his calling as a soldier of the Lord after having served several years in the military in the USA. Robert was on his way to Atlanta where he and his family will work until he can return to his homeland Ghana as he has been gone for a number of years.
His visit proved to be a very blessed event and as we all rejoiced and spoke of the work in Ghana, he reported that the leaders are still going as strong as ever. Thru the years many soldiers have gone throughout Ghana working at evangelizing, setting up godly communities and going out especially in the Northern Regions of Ghana where multitudes are coming to Jesus as their Savior.
Needless to say, it was such a sweet time for all of us, including some who had only heard of the many times the Generals returned to Africa. As the nation of Ghana proved to be fertile ground, there is much good fruit coming forth even till now of the seeds that were planted and the disciples of the Army Message have gone forth for almost four decades declaring the gospel to the multitudes.
As the Lord provided us with such a blessed visit so did we have the opportunity to pray for the safe journey for Brother Amihere and his family to Atlanta. They arrived safely and were doubly blessed to be enabled to have the short visit with us. We asked them to convey our love and encouragement to the faithful and true believers in Ghana who have stood true to the vision implanted in them. It is indeed a privilege to see that God will let us know that even though we have been hated and hounded, persecuted, prosecuted, and imprisoned for our faith, that the Lord has raised up those who have remained ever faithful to proclaim Jesus Saves.
How blessed it is to see that as we obey the Lord’s plan that He uses even the most unlikely to deliver His message and His mercies to the ones who are hungering and thirsting for righteousness. We thank God that we can continue to lay our lives down for His purpose and see that indeed it is He who will bring in the harvest and see the good fruit.
May God overshadow and anoint all of the brothers and sisters in Ghana and throughout Africa for all of them who have remained true and are bringing in the harvest which is plentiful.
